News FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS CAESES geometry modeller now offers a parametric flow domain for the CFD-based optimization of impeller blades.

The new feature targets engineers of turbochargers and pumps and can be used with the blade design module of CAESES.

News FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS has released version 4.1.2 of its upfront modeling and optimization software CAESES and CAESES Free.

The new version comes with improved methods for the parametric optimization with Adjoint CFD, where various commercial and non-commercial CFD packages are supported now.

News Pointwise announces a major new release of its computational fluid dynamics (CFD) mesh generation software featuring unstructured quadrilateral surface meshing, unstructured hexahedral layer extrusion, and tetrahedral mesh clustering using sources.

"This latest release of Pointwise includes the broadest changes to the software’s core meshing functionality since 2007 when we introduced our T-Rex technique for boundary layer resolving hybrid meshes," said John Chawner, Pointwise's president.

Autodesk Labs Releases Project Calrissian For CFD

News Project Calrissian for CFD is a free technology preview of an application that combines functionality from Autodesk Flow Design (graduated from labs Project Falcon) and former Autodesk Labs project, Project Ventus for CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).

The technology preview is open to the public. It is available to download and will operate until August 30, 2016.
