Kent Misegades, President of Computational Engineering International (CEI), today announced his retirement from the company he has led since 1998. Misegades was named President of CEI, a leading provider of CAE pre- and post-processing tools, in 1998. Prior to that, he was VP for Sales and Marketing at CEI, Managing Director for Fluid Dynamics International, GmbH, Manager of CFD Applications at Cray Research and a staff aerodynamicist with Dornier of Germany.
“Last year marked my 30th year as a practicing engineer, which is hard for me to believe. I have decided it is time for me to retire my keyboard, so to say, and pursue some other interests for the remainder of my professional life,” says Kent Misegades.

Kent Misegades is retiring after 31 years in the CAE industry and eleven years at CEI for nine of which he served as President. Kent will continue to serve on the Board of Directors. He is departing to pursue personal, political, and community interests such as education, business environment in the state of North Carolina, and promoting his wife's art.
CEI's new president will be Dr. Anders Grimsrud, formerly CEI's Chief Technology Officer, and Kent's close business partner for 20 years. Anders was the original developer for the MPGS product (the forerunner to EnSight) at Cray Research, beginning in 1987. In 1994 Anders co-founded CEI, Inc. in order to concentrate his efforts on providing high performance engineering visualization solutions to the global CAE market.
CEI's business focus remains unchanged as well as its private ownership. Kent Misegades leaves the company in a strong financial and technical situation - current revenue for the company is above forecasted levels for the year and the highest in the company’s history. Sales continue to be strong and new distributors have been signed up in developing countries.
