Moldex3D is now offering a free trial version of Moldex3D eXplorer for Pro/ENGINEER users. The trial may be downloaded at http://www.moldex3d.com/jla/en/index.php?option=co m_attend_events&task=view&id=5.
“We’re very glad to have Moldex3D eXplorer as a partner product to support the Pro/ENGINEER user community. Most of our users are using Pro/ENGINEER for designing precision parts with complicated wall thickness variations. Moldex3D’s true 3D simulation capabilities will provide much more accurate simulation results,” - Mike Campbell, PTC senior vice president of product management.
Time savings
In the past, designers and molders have to come together to discuss various molding conditions after the CAD models are completed. Now, Moldex3D eXplorer can bridge the gap between these two professions because it provides designers the necessary insights on how to produce good quality products. Designers now can check welding line, air trap, flow balance, decide gate location, gate number, etc. during the design phase. Moldex3D eXplorer can also simulate true 3D flow to provide the inner temperature and pressure of the cavity. Molders then can visualize molding requirements to further optimize products.
User-friendly
Besides time savings, Moldex3D eXplorer is also meant to reduce the training involved in accessing simulation results. Pro/ENGINEER users can easily setup analysis with only a few clicks in the Pro/ENGINEER environment. In other words, no additional training, CAD conversion, or meshing is needed. In terms of performance, Moldex3D eXplorer supports parallel computing technology, it is capable of reaching the maximum acceleration by fully utilizing each core of the modern CPU architecture. After analysis is done, the report generator then enables users to share reports with the product design team, clients, suppliers, and the molders.
“We’re very excited to announce the immediate availability of Moldex3D eXplorer. Moldex3D’s professional true 3D parallel computing capability is now extended to support CAD users directly. Upfront CAE becomes straightforward for every CAD user,” - Dr. Venny Yang, President of CoreTech System.
