News Blue Ridge Numerics, Inc. has announced that it has become a Spatial Corp. CAA V5 Adopter and is on track to deliver the first release of CFdesign® for CATIA V5 during the final quarter of 2004.

CFdesign is the industry-leading upfront CFD software solution, providing full-power fluid flow and heat transfer simulation tools integrated with MCAD environments. CFdesign for CATIA V5 will provide a fully associative virtual prototyping solution driven by the 3D native parts, components, and assemblies developed in CATIA or any solid modeling system built on the CATIA V5 platform.

“Partnering with Spatial marks yet another milestone in the history of Blue Ridge Numerics,” stated Blue Ridge Numerics president, Ed Williams. “Over the past six years our business has grown by nearly 500% because CFdesign is satisfying previously unmet needs within industry. We know the same needs exist within the CATIA V5 community and we are eager to see them put our powerful upfront CFD solution to work.”

“Blue Ridge Numerics is an innovator in the CFD world,” said Keith Mountain, vice president of marketing for Spatial, “and we believe their success in putting fluid flow and heat transfer simulation upfront in the product development process will make them an important solution provider in the V5 marketplace.”
