Engineering A New Air Inlet System For Airplane Cabins

Announcements At the recent Intel Student Science Fair, Raymond Wang, 17, of Canada took home the top prize and was awarded $75,000 for engineering a new air inlet system for airplane cabins to improve air quality and curb disease transmission.

ANSYS will host an event on YouTube on July 7th, with Raymond. The event will be live streamed on the ANSYS TechTips YouTube Channel at 8 pm EDT, 5 pm PDT.

Raymond will discuss how his system improves the availability of fresh air in the cabin by more than 190 percent while reducing pathogen inhalation concentrations by up to 55 times compared to conventional designs.
