Modeling Complex Geometries and Advanced Physics Problems |
|
 |
 |
 |
This event will highlight how those using or wanting to use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) can expand their capabilities to cut their time-to-results from weeks to days, or from days to hours, while reducing their license expenditure.
Attendees will be presented with several industrial examples which demonstrate both the business and functional advantages of turning engineering simulation loose on your everyday or niche applications. Presentations will be done using STAR-CCM+ and conducted by distinguished industry experts along with CD-adapco core competency owners.
Workshops are complimentary but registration is required .
Agenda:
9:00am - 9:30am: Coffee and Continental Breakfast
9:30am - 11:30am: Seminar Part 1: Introduction to STAR-CCM+ presented by CD-adapco simulation experts.
- Advanced CFD Modeling Topics (VOF, Heat Transfer, DEM)
- Handling Complex real world geometries
- Steady-state and Unsteady Solutions
- Segregated and Coupled Solvers
- RANS, URANS, LES, DES
- Harmonic Balance
- Li-ion Battery Development
- Electric Motor Design
- Co-simulation with Abaqus
- Turbomachinery: Primary & Secondary Flows including Tip Leakage, Casing & Hub Flows…
- Turbine Blade Cooling & Conjugate Heat Transfer
- Automated Meshing including Boundary Layer Mesh Refinement and Polyhedral Cells
- Java & Process Automation
- Transient Simulations
- Overset Polyhedral Meshing
11:30am - 12:30pm: Lunch provided by CD-adapco
12:30pm - 4:00pm: Seminar Part 2: Live Demonstrations and Hands-on CFD Tutorials: Attendees will create and run simulations using STAR-CCM+
