Announcements NUMECA International and the Technical University of Darmstadt are jointly organizing an International Workshop on Advanced Measurement Techniques and Computational Methods for Premixed and Partially Premixed Combustion.

The Workshop is organized in conjunction with the Seventh Mediterranean Combustion Symposium on September 10-11, 2011 in Cagliari, Italy.

The workshop aims at providing an opportunity for researchers and engineers to present the state-of-the-art in experimental methods and numerical modelling techniques, assess model performance and their uncertainties, and discuss new challenges and developments. Comparisons of state-of-the-art models on three different, representative test cases will be an essential part of the workshop.

Invited lectures will be held by leading researchers and will provide a perspective of the experimental and numerical techniques as well as phenomena encountered in premixed and partially premixed, turbulent combustion processes.
