The technical organization is informal, and only oral presentations are required. The goals of the symposium are to:
  • communicate recent work, new research ideas, and work in progress
  • exchange ideas involving overset grid technologies, including unsteady and moving body problems, and emerging hybrid strategies
  • provide an opportunity for interaction between researchers, developers, and practitioners

Short courses and seminars will be held in 3 different locations on the Penn State campus the day before the Symposium begins. The current line-up includes:

  • OVERFLOW Short Course: Pieter Buning (NASA) and Bobby Nichols (UAB)
  • Introduction to SUGGAR++: Ralph Noack (Penn State ARL)
  • An Overture Tutorial: Bill Henshaw (LLNL) and Kyle Chand (LLNL)
  • OVERGRID and Chimera Grid Tools: William Chan (NASA)
  • What's New in Pointwise Meshing Software: TBD (Pointwise)
  • Other Sponsor Seminars and Demos: TBD
