STAR-Software will be demonstrated in new application areas including the expansion into a wider spectrum of continuum mechanical problems such as;

Fluid structure interaction, Melting and casting processes, Electrochemical and electromagnetic effects etc, More efficient solver methods, Larger geometric flexibility e.g. introduction of polyhedral and overlapping grids.

With these enhancements CD-adapco will affirm its leading role in the development of innovative technology.

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet with key CD-adapco employees and fellow CFD users and to hear client presentations about real world CFD applications. We are pleased to announce that Gangolf Kohnen from Toyota Motorsport GmbH will be our keynote speaker on the first day of the conference, providing an overview of the importance of CFD in the Motorsport world. We will also have real world CFD application presentations from our esteemed clients including Behr, Bombardier, Promeos and ArvinMeritor to name a few. Our agenda will also include a presentation from El Moctar of Germanischer Lloyd AG presenting the results from challenging coupled simulations of flows around ships, their movement and their structural deformation in heavy seas. The flow and ship movement were calculated with CD-adapco software, whereas the structural deformation was carried out with Ansys. The coupling was enabled by an interface developed by Germanischer Lloyd.

You can now access the full agenda at the conference website.

New products, such as STAR-CCM+ and the STAR-CAD Series will be demonstrated and delegates will have the opportunity to try out the software at demo-points. Experts in the field of CAD, optimisation and hardware from renowned partners, such as Unigraphics, FE-Design, IBM and HP will present their latest products in our exhibition area to the 150-200 expected delegates.

Highlights will include an opportunity for attendees to win a Renault Formula 1 Paddock Pass for a days racing in 2006 and the popular evening event, this year in an extraordinary location with ensuring fun and entertainment.
