Presentations will be given on the latest features and developments of the CD adapco Group’s CFD/CAE products and services, including the STAR-CD and Comet CFD codes. A special focus will be given on the exciting launch of STAR CCM+ a next generation CFD code renowned for its ease-of-use. Combining latest numerical algorithms including an advanced pre-conditioned coupled solver and state-of-the-art software coding, the new product brings a new level of accuracy, reliability and flexibility to the CFD engineer.
Emphasis will also be given on providing information on the new CAD-integrated options for STAR-CD and Comet, which are now available integrated into Pro/ENGINEER and SolidWorks, CATIA V5 and Unigraphics-NX. These offer the benefit that they enable users to run a full CFD analysis from within their familiar CAD environment, totally removing the need to learn a new interface. Alternatively, if a CAD model or CAD system is not available, the STAR-Design option provides a Parasolid solid-modeling tool for model-creation offering the same ease of use. All these CAD-integrated options provide fully integrated CFD capability and full associativity with parametric CAD models.
A highlight of the conference will include exhibitions featuring hardware and software partner booths including Acuitiv Software, Pointwise,CEI, SUN Microsystems, ESTECO, ThermoAnalytics, Reaction Design, SGI, LMS, ADT, MSC Software, HP, IBM and Linux NetworX .
