The Users Conference was held on the 4th and 5th December. It started with a welcome dance "An Ode to CFX Users" and was declared open by Dr. Georg Scheuerer. The conference was well attended with an average of about 100 participants each day. About thirty technical papers were presented over the two days. Two parallel sessions (Process and Non-Process) were conducted for the most part of day one and the first session of day two. There were also invited discussions by Georg (Turbulence Modeling) and Phil (Process Applications).

The conference dinner was held on the lawns of Jayamahal Palace. The lawns were lined with a wide variety of "Khana Ghars" or "Food Shops" serving an astonishing array of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods - a gastronomist's delight. Intricate vegetable carvings and ice cut into "CFX" adorned the center of the lawn. Entertainment was in the form of popular and folk dances from the Shivapriya School of Dance. The well stocked bar ensured that the invitees were kept in high spirits.
