CD adapco Group's CFD Thesis Prize 2003

News The CD adapco Group is continuing its CFD thesis prize program. This year, we are once again seeking outstanding PhD theses, which represent important and original contributions to knowledge in the field of numerical techniques or physical models aimed at simulation of fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, and related processes. The following prizes shall be awarded:

1st prize: 3000 US$
2nd prize: 2000 US$
3rd prize: 1000 US$

The aim of these prizes is to stimulate research in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Nominations are being accepted from all over the world until December 30, 2003; theses up to one year old will be considered.


Sponsor CFD Review

Nominations must be made by the thesis supervisors(s), who should provide a review of the thesis and explain the outstanding achievements, which in their opinion deserve a special prize. Each nomination must be accompanied by:
  1. an electronic copy of the thesis (zipped postscript or pdf format)
  2. a one page summary
  3. a page of the figures
The decision of the prize committee is final and will be announced at the CD adapco Group's European User Conference, March 2004. The prize winners shall have no obligations towards the CD adapco Group other than the permission to publish the summary of the thesis in our newsletter and on www.cd-adapco.com. The use of CD adapco Group's products is neither a requirement nor advantage in the selection process.
