CPFD Software Appoints New Vice President of Sales & Marketing

News CPFD Software LLC, the creators of the unique Barracuda® simulation package for particle-fluid systems, today announced the appointment of Scott Thibault as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In this role, he will be responsible for heading all sales and marketing efforts for the Albuquerque-based engineering software company.

Mr. Thibault brings to CPFD Software over 15 years experience in sales and marketing, primarily for high-end engineering design and simulation software. He was most recently at DEM Solutions Ltd. (Edinburgh, U.K.), an engineering software firm specializing in discrete element modeling. At DEM Solutions he was one of the highest career sellers of software and services, repeatedly breaking sales records for the company.

Mr. Thibault also spent almost 7 years at Concepts NREC, of Wilder, VT, where he was in charge of all software sales and marketing worldwide for this turbomachinery software and consulting company. He was instrumental in helping the company to grow software sales over 500% during his time there.

“I am excited to be joining CPFD Software at a time when the Barracuda product is poised for spectacular growth, due primarily to the needs of the oil & gas, petrochemical, and chemical industries to optimize fluidized-bed reactors of all kinds. It is a uniquely capable and valuable technology that I am proud to be representing,” said Thibault.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts and University of Lowell, Mr. Thibault holds Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He holds one U.S. Patent (issued 1996) from his prior work in the nuclear industry.
