News Intelligent Light is pleased to announce an important new distribution agreement with CD-adapco Japan. The new agreement will, for the first time, make the FIELDVIEW family of products available in China through CDAJ-China, an established organization with CFD expertise.

This is a landmark agreement as Intelligent Light brings FIELDVIEW products, support, and consulting to the CFD community in China. Along with the products and support of CDAJ-China, the Intelligent Light Applied Research Group will be able to provide state of the art research, development, and implementation expertise to support the rapidly growing CFD engineering capabilities in China’s manufacturing and sciences industries.

“The pace of growth of technical engineering in China is tremendous. In automotive, aerospace, and research segments, CFD is proving fundamental to the advancement of research and industry,” said Steve M. Legensky, founder and general manager of Intelligent Light. “FIELDVIEW is already used widely in China and we are pleased that our users in China now have a home with an established local delivery and support organization.”

Expanded support in Japan
The direct relationship with CD-adapco Japan will serve users of STAR-CD/LT and FIELDVIEW. CD-adapco Japan (CDAJ) has selected FIELDVIEW for in-house consulting and integration projects. The company will also deliver and support CDAJ-FIELDVIEW, a unique FIELDVIEW version that handles data from STAR-CD and STAR-LT exclusively.

"Our customers and prospects have indicated a strong desire to enhance their CFD productivity with advanced post-processing. We have selected FIELDVIEW as our CFD post-processing solution for Japan and China because of many powerful features found in software and its excellent reputation in Japan," said Chingzhou Hsu, president of CD-adapco Japan. "We believe FIELDVIEW is the best product."

VINAS Co., Ltd. continues to be the exclusive Japanese distributor for the FIELDVIEW family of products. VINAS has been providing sales, support and customization services for FIELDVIEW customers using all types of CFD solvers. Intelligent Light is proud of the broad use of FIELDVIEW in Japan and the high caliber of support that VINAS provides.

Legensky speaks about the potent combination in Japan. "By adding the expertise and customer reach of CDAJ to our team, I hope that STAR-CD/LT users will be able to more easily gain the benefits of FIELDVIEW post-processing in their CFD work. VINAS Co., Ltd., our valuable partner for more than 10 years, will also be able to gain from this relationship through enhanced collaboration with CDAJ to meet the growing and unique needs of users.”
