News CD-adapco is pleased to announce that David L. Vaughn has joined the company as Director, Aerospace & Defense Industry Sectors. With more than 15 years of experience serving the aerospace and defense industries, Mr. Vaughn will lead all CD-adapco activities aimed at strengthening our presence in the global aerospace and defense sectors. One of his first formal appearances representing CD-adapco will be at the AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting in Reno, NV on January 9-12, 2006.

Mr. Vaughn then joined Synaps, Inc. where he helped to develop and market software and provide services in the area of process integration and design optimization for the aerospace and defense industries. This allowed him to apply his skills across multiple disciplinary boundaries working with customers such as Bombardier, Cessna Aircraft, Airbus, and Pacific Marine to name just a few. Before Synaps was acquired by Engineous Software, Mr. Vaughn was named V.P, Product Management. With Engineous, David further entrenched himself in the global CAE marketplace by leading Special Programs, where he once again specialized in providing solutions to customers worldwide for integrating CFD and other CAE processes for multi-disciplinary design.

"David brings to CD-adapco a unique combination of applied CFD know-how together with the business experience of helping to build a successful CAE solutions company," said Dr. Dennis Nagy, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at CD-adapco. "David's reputation as a trusted CAE partner within major aerospace and defense corporations is evidence of our continued dedication to meet the strategic needs for CFD and related CAE solutions in this industry."

CD-adapco is the leading global provider of full-spectrum engineering simulation solutions for fluid flow, heat transfer and stress, including CFD software, CAD-embedded CFD options, CAE consulting services and training. Through STAR-CD, STAR-CCM+ and the STAR-CAD Series, CD-adapco delivers the most comprehensive set of easy-to-use CFD solutions on the market. This ability to deal with the broad range of specialized flow problems encountered in the Aerospace and Defense industries makes CD-adapco the perfect compliment to in-house solutions.
