News The Board of Directors of NTI Newmerical Inc. ("NTI") is pleased and proud to announce that Dr. Wagdi Habashi, President and CEO of NTI has been elected to the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC).

In the exact words of the RSC, "Being elected a Fellow of RSC (FRSC) is the highest Canadian academic honour a scholar can achieve in the Arts, Humanities and Sciences."

In its citation to Dr. Habashi, who is a full-time Professor at McGill University and Director of its Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, the RSC states: "Wagdi Habashi is widely recognized for the formulation, modeling and application of finite element methods to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He has developed efficient applied mathematics solutions to a wide range of complex aerospace problems for aircraft, rotorcraft and jet engines. In the in-flight icing area, his unique formulation has resulted in a code widely used throughout the aerospace industry, worldwide."
