An In-Depth Look at 64-bit Computing

Hardware Extreme Tech has taken a look a the upcoming 64-bit PC CPUs and provides insight as to what 64-bit computing will mean to the user.

The article looks at the registers, instruction set, branch prediction, etc. and compares the Intel and AMD offerings with existing chips (Alpha, SPARC, MIPS and POWER).

A previous story on CFD Review provided another look at the migration to 64-bit computing.
