Brief:
A computational analysis has been carried out using FLUENT software in a Scramjet engine combustor with the multiple ramp-cavity injectors which will enhance the fuel air mixing in a short flow residence time for both cold flow and reacting flows. Inclined injection of hydrogen was used for the combustion analysis. It was observed that the ramp-cavity injector in supersonic combustor helped to lift the fuel away from cavity and wall and enhanced the mixing and flame holding capabilities in supersonic combustion which was identified by the increment in combustor exit temperature and combustion efficiency.

Thesis title: Computational Validation of Flow Field Turbulence

Brief: Effect of flow field turbulence in the wind tunnel and atmosphere conditions has been analyzed numerically using a sphere model by ANSYS-CFX software and validated with the experimental results. For validation, CD vs. Re graphs of sphere model which were obtained by both experimental and numerical analysis has been matched. For this to be done, various Mesh and Turbulence model were studied. This work has to be extended for streamlined bodies such as airfoils.
