Investigated thermal resistance coefficients with ball bearings, with Reynolds number lower than 350 in both the Dean and Taylor Couette flow. Experiment was conducted to match theoretical conclusion that for increasing rotational speeds, the thermal resistance of the bearing should decrease due to increased convection heat transfer on the inside surfaces of the bearing FEA analysis of a #1 main-shaft bearing structural failure in service Assisted the Engineering Manager as assigned, with the research, design, development, testing, and proper maintenance of all processes. Initiated contact with relevant vendors (application engineers) for technical purchasing.

Strong engineering intuition with capability of working independently and as a team Fluent, CFX, Auto CAD, Solidworks MS Excel, Word, Access Catia V5, ProE wildfire 4.0 Matlab, C Autodesk Inventor 2014 RESEARCH/THESIS: Computational Analysis of a Multistage Axial Compressor January 2013 - May 2014 A 15 stage axial compressor meshed (60 million nodes) in ANSYS Turbogrid 14.5 and analyzed using ANSYS CFX 14.5 which uses Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes Equation and Finite Volume Method. Analyzed using a Linux machine and 9 parallel computing nodes (quad core processor 4 GB RAM) Various effects such as mesh type and density, boundary conditions, tip clearance and numerical issues such as turbulence model choice, advection model choice, and parallel processing performance are studied. Computational time for each analysis approximated to 24 hours using 6 parallel nodes Parametric study of the compressor with steady state (Frozen rotor) and transient analysis is carried out AIAA publication is under preparation PROJECTS: Thermal Simulation of Multicore processors using Gambit and Ansys Icepak November 2013 CFD analysis of single phase and multi phase flows in a horizontal pipe October 2013-December 2013 Multi-disciplinary and multi-objective design optimization of Blended Wing aircraft using commercial software ModeFrontier. December 2011 May 2012 Study of Dynamic Performance of Flettner Rotors with and without Thom Discs using Fluent Gambit.
