Develop and compare multi Phase VOF simulation model and single phase model for the analysis of flow fi eld through the culverts for fish passage. Validate the CFD results with the experimental data collected from TFHRC hydraulics Lab, and also compare with analytical calculations based on di erent approaches. Porous media modelling to study the flow fi eld in a culvert with gravel and at a bed elevation.  Automate the process of computing the slope required for the flume to overcome losses. Develop programs to run CFD softwares in batch mode using C, Python and Bash scripting languages. Analyze the lift and drag forces on inundated bridge decks under various flow con gurations.
