I define the aero design of steam turbines and axial gas turbines using GE code (1d, 2d and tridimensional model, steady and unsteady), estimate the performance in off-design conditions and prepare the specific documentations. I make aerodynamic analysis of the diffuser system using commercial program like Fluent. I successfully optimize the flowpath of the advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage (CAES) using the commercial program Isight.

I have successfully determined both the performance of wind turbines and the loads on individual components with the fluid dynamic analysis, steady and unsteady, of the flow field generated by the blades developed in the company. I do the simulation of small wind farms at changing of wind conditions to assess the interference between the turbines and to optimize the overall performance. I performed, using Ansys, Femap and Nastran programs, the static, modal and buckling structural analysis.

Successfully expanded a code written in the Fortran programming language, based on the vortex model, for predicting the performance of vertical axis wind turbines.
