SUMMARY OF M. TECH. DISSERTATION
Title: Numerical Analysis of Vortex breakdown in cylindrical cavity with and without temperature effect using Finite Volume Solver.
Numerical analysis of fluid flow in cylindrical container with rotating end-walls in isothermal and non-isothermal flow domain is conducted to study the effect of centrifugal forces, Coriolies forces and buoyant forces on the flow patterns generated, phenomenon of vortex break down and the instabilities in the flow domain. Semi-explicit finite volume algorithm is applied on the computational domain with imaginary cell approach is used for the boundary condition.
