During my graduate research, I analyzed and interpreted information from data to develop a CFD model of an external flow over a rocket vehicle for thesis project; rocket vehicles were modeled in AutoCAD and meshed in Gambit, while CFD analysis was carried out in FLUENT. Also during my research assistantship, I identified the influential parameters, devised a plan, and embarked on a comprehensive parametric study of the performance characteristics of single-sided windows in office buildings, using CFD. I also completed a research project "Navier Stokes Simulation on Multiblock Structured Grids". The aim of this project was to take advantage of structured grid technology to solve flows over complex domains. The domain is broken down in to "blocks", the grid in each block remaining structured in nature. It was assumed that each edge of a block will have a single boundary condition. The number of blocks, boundary conditions on block faces, the number of vertices and the orientation of the axes in the computational plane was not known. The code was written in "C" and used finite volume discretization. During my graduate studies, I have completed over 50 credit hours of graduate coursework and have maintained a 3.7 GPA. These courses include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Intermediate Fluid Mechanics, Combustion, Experimental Fluid Mechanics, Advance Convection, and Design of Heat Exchangers. Besides, I have a sound statistical background with courses including Computational Design, Intelligent Systems and Mathematica.
