Master’s Thesis: CFD Studies on the Flow and Shear Stress Distribution of Aneurysms
The project spanned over the course of my graduate studies at The University of Akron, under the guidance of Dr. Guo- Xiang Wang. The project involved extensive use of computational tools to 3-dimensionally study the nature of blood flow through brain Aneurysms. Pro/E was used to create 3-d models that were later meshed using GAMBIT and analysis was carried out using FLUENT.I used the models to systematically couple the physiological aspects of blood flow with fluid dynamic studies and arrive at conclusions. This work exposed me to complete hands on experience of using design and computational software packages, to create complex geometries and effectively mesh them for further analysis.
