New Software: ANSYS Launches Student Version of Robust Simulation Technology

News U.S. college students can now take engineering simulation technology outside of the classroom with ANSYS® Academic Student, a new simulation solution derived from ANSYS' successful teaching software.

This robust technology, which was released today, offers similar capabilities as the commercial solution at the affordable price of $25 for a one-year license. Eligible U.S. students can download the ANSYS solution used in their classroom on their personal computer, eliminating the physical restriction of having to be on campus to access the technology.

Business: Wikki Brasil Named New Pointwise Distributor

News Pointwise, Inc. has signed a distributorship agreement with Wikki Brasil, a company founded earlier this year in Rio de Janeiro.

"Wikki Brasil represents our first distribution partner in South America and we look forward to working with them to introduce our computational fluid dynamics (CFD) meshing software to that region of the world," said John Chawner, Pointwise’s president.
