CD-adapco On March 22 and 23, CD-adapco will be holding the STAR European Conference 2011 at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in the Netherlands, an exclusive beach front hotel. Located just 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport, this new larger venue benefits from improved accessibility for customers across the whole of Europe.

ANSYS ANSYS will host CFD Best Practice Guidelines focusing on the assessment of the quality of CFD simulations on September 29th.

Different types of errors, sources of errors and strategies to improve the quality of CFD simulations will be reviewed. The quantification of errors and procedures that help minimize errors will be demonstrated and discussed on some examples.

Red Bull Racing Innovates With ANSYS

News ANSYS continues to push engineering simulation boundaries to fulfill the challenging needs of next-generation Formula 1 racing. Red Bull Racing selected ANSYS technology as its CFD code of choice, reducing its need for physical prototypes for wind tunnel testing.

In the following video, Steve Nevey of Red Bull Technology states "ANSYS software enables us to drastically reduce lead times and get solutions to the race circuit much quicker, making us more competitive race by race. ANSYS software has proved to be incredibly reliable and very accurate and we rate the knowledge and expertise of the staff at ANSYS very highly."

News CPFD Software LLC, the creators of the Barracuda® simulation package for particle-fluid systems, today announced the signing of an International Distribution Agreement with CAEZEN Technologies of Bangalore for the distribution and support of Barracuda in India.

Barracuda is used by major oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, and power equipment manufacturers for simulating, understanding, and optimizing the operation of fluidized systems.
