Announcements Presentations on topics ranging from aerospace to wind energy applications to scripting and hybrid meshing technology will highlight Pointwise's User Group Meeting on 13-14 April in Fort Worth, TX.

Speakers will focus on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or other computational analysis for which Pointwise or Gridgen was used for meshing.

Application: CFD Improves Olympic Bobsled Performance

Application The US Bobsled Team has been working with the Exa Corporation to study how air travels around bobsleds, and how that airflow could be improved to speed up their races.

Based on these models, the scientists came up with a new aerodynamic bobsled design to give the team an edge on the ice in Vancouver.
