News Faster parallel performance, improved data handling, enhanced workflow and productivity capabilities, along with support for Windows® HPC Server 2008, highlight the release of FieldView 12.2, the latest version of Intelligent Light’s industry-leading CFD post-processing software.

Architected to exploit multi-core and multi-processor computers operating as a single system or in high-performance computing clusters, FieldView 12.2 allows Windows and Linux users to use the parallel features of the standard FieldView application.

News Tecplot, Inc. today announced that the latest Windows versions of Tecplot 360 and Tecplot Focus are ready for the October release of Windows 7, Microsoft’s latest operating system.

“We’ve tested Tecplot 360 2009 and Focus 2009 on the Windows 7 RTM version and verified they work,” said Mike Peery, Tecplot, Inc. President and CEO. “So, Windows users on our 2009 versions will not encounter any issues if they migrate to Windows 7.”

News Wilde, the Stockport based FEA, CFD and Reliability Engineering solution specialist, welcomes Dr. Alister Simpson (PhD, MENG, AMIMECHE) to the CFD team.

Alister brings with him a wealth of experience of fluid dynamics in aerospace and general mechanical applications. His last job, before joining Wilde, was for a company designing turbo-machinery in association with Queen’s University, Belfast.
