News Flowmaster, provider of world class system simulation software launches Flowmaster V7.6, the latest system simulation software across its product range: V7 General Systems, V7 Automotive, V7 Aerospace and V7 Gas Turbine.

Flowmaster is system simulation software that allows engineers to design, simulate, validate and optimise thermo-fluid systems at the concept phase of development, often before any 3D data is available, and throughout the development lifecycle. FLUENT Helps Determine Scalability on Multicore Clusters

News A Desktop Engineering article describes how FLUENT was used to demonstrate cluster efficiency.
As more engineers run CFD applications on HPC clusters to model sophisticated analysis, it becomes clear that these applications need to be highly parallel and scalable to make optimum use of cluster computing ability. Moreover, multicore-based clusters impose higher demands on cluster components, in particular the cluster interconnect.

ANSYS Breaks 1 Billion Cell Barrier

News ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced the first commercial simulation of more than 1 billion computational cells using software from ANSYS -- a significant milestone for the Company and the industry.

An Italian research team headed by Ignazio Maria Viola, a member of the engineering group that worked with the Luna Rossa Challenge team for the 2007 America's Cup yacht racing competition, conducted the landmark simulation during August 2008 to investigate the aerodynamics of an America's Cup yacht.
