New Software: Upgrades Released for Tecplot 360 2008 and Tecplot Focus 2008

News Tecplot, Inc. has released upgrades for two of its industry-leading software products, Tecplot 360 2008 and Tecplot Focus 2008.

The upgrades help users create images and plots more quickly, display time and date on any axis, and generate enhanced non-Flash animations for PowerPoint.

New Software: OpenFVM v1.0 Released

Open Source The OpenFVM project is pleased to announce the release of OpenFVM v1.0.

OpenFVM is a general three-dimensional multiphase non-isothermal unstructured flow solver. This release contains a a new parallel implementation using the PETSc library.

The ancient Greeks first coined the term “krystallos” to describe both quartz and ice, which they actually believed to be different forms of the same matter. Today, in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota (UMN), Ph.D. candidate David Gasperino and Senior Research Associate Andrew Yeckel, Ph.D., working under the supervision of Professor Jeffrey Derby, are incorporating EnSight extreme 3D visualization software from CEI, Inc. of Apex, NC into a project that, much like the crystals they study, is a building block for future research.

News Flow Science, Inc. announced today it has entered into an agreement with Simulaciones y Proyectos S.L., for that company to market and support Flow Science's FLOW-3D computational fluid dynamics software in Spain and Portugal for both sales and engineering consulting purposes.

Flow Science, Inc. is a privately held New Mexico corporation specializing in development, marketing and support of transient, free-surface flow modeling software for industrial and scientific applications worldwide.
