News Computational Engineering International (CEI) announced today a partnership with the Israeli firm J-Rom Ltd. to distribute the American developer’s software throughout Israel.

Best-known for its industry-leading EnSight software, CEI produces a full range of software applications for the scientific and engineering community covering all aspects of simulation, including plotting, process workflow, animation, and visualization.

New Software: ACUSIM Announces Support for Windows CCS

News ACUSIM Software, Inc. today announced that its AcuSolve™ computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver now supports Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 (CCS), providing mainstream computer aided engineering (CAE) users access to a robust, scalable, fast and accurate CFD solution in the Windows high-performance computing (HPC) environment.

“Customers need solutions that help them solve complex, multidisciplinary design problems,” said Shawn Hansen, director of the HPC Marketing Division at Microsoft. “Microsoft and ACUSIM are working closely to bring a Windows-based high-performance computing solution to CAE users to address these needs.”

Business: ANSYS Added to Russell 1000 Index

News ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced that it has been listed on this year's Russell 1000(R) stock index. ANSYS was one of six companies in the technology sector added to the prestigious large-cap index on June 30.

Tacoma, Washington-based Russell Investments realigns its Russell 3000(R) Index once per year, tracking what it says is 99 percent of the U.S. equity market. That index is then broken down to 26 smaller indexes, including the widely watched Russell 1000 Index of large-capitalization stocks and the Russell 2000(R) Index of small capitalization stocks. ANSYS had been listed on the Russell 2000 since 2001.

Air Velocity Measurement in Electronics Design will be presented live over the Web on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 starting at 2:00 p.m. ET. The tutorial is free, but pre-registration is required.
