ANSYS Simulation has become a critical element of the product development process. To stay on top of the latest developments, engineers, analysts and management from all disciplines of CAE will attend the 2007 ANSYS U.S. Regional Conference Series: PENNSYLVANIA, May 14-16 to learn about the future of engineering design simulation and analysis.

Intel Promises Fast Penryn Chips in 2007

Hardware Intel Corp. will begin producing its next-generation "Penryn" processors by the end of 2007, using greater power efficiency to push improved Core 2 and Xeon chips to speeds over 3GHz, the company said Wednesday.

The new chip family marks a crucial step in Intel's "tick-tock" product strategy, the company's schedule for delivering either a new chip architecture or smaller chip design every year, said Pat Gelsinger, general manger of Intel's digital enterprise group, during a press conference in San Francisco.

New Software: Automated Unstructured Viscous Meshing Featured in Gridgen V15.10

News Pointwise announces the release of Gridgen Version 15.10, the latest version of their popular CFD meshing software. The major new feature in Gridgen V15.10 is a novel technique for generating high-quality unstructured meshes for viscous CFD analysis called anisotropic tetrahedral meshing.

"Anisotropic tetrahedral meshing is a truly unstructured extrusion process," said John Steinbrenner, Pointwise's Vice President of Research and Development.
