ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced the 2006 International ANSYS Conference. A must-attend event for executives, managers and technical staff in a wide range of industries, the conference is scheduled for May 2 - 4 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
This is the thirteenth conference that ANSYS has staged since its inaugural event in 1983. During the last two decades, as simulation has become a critical element of the product development process, the content, breadth and attendance of the International ANSYS Conference has grown as well. Companies from around the world, in a wide range of geographic regions and industries, are planning to attend the 2006 event.

| ANSYS Joins European SAFEDOR Project |

ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced its selection as one of four software manufacturers providing expertise to the SAFEDOR project, which is charged with improving the safety, security, environmental impact and competitiveness of Europe’s maritime industry. ANSYS will work in tandem with other SAFEDOR partners to develop innovations applicable to cruise ships, ferries, tankers and container ships.
SAFEDOR (Design, Operation and Regulation for Safety) is a 50-plus-member European consortium whose mission is to provide cost-effective solutions to improve waterborne transport while treating safety as a design objective rather than a constraint.
