New Software: Engineous Software Launches iSIGHT 9.0

News Engineous Software, provider of award-winning integration, automation, and design optimization software and related strategic services, announced today the launch of iSIGHT version 9.0 at their 2004 International User's conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The latest release infuses key technologies that were obtained with the acquisition of Synaps in January 2004. iSIGHT 9.0 also includes a number of customer-requested features as well as improved interaction with Engineous' infrastructure product FIPER.

iSIGHT 9.0 offers one of the largest leaps in technology ever provided in a single iSIGHT release. Major features include significant ease of use enhancements drawn from the Synaps products (Pointer guided optimization, Fast Parser, simulation-plots, stress ratio optimizer, automatic report generation, and exporting to Excel™). The release also includes a number of advanced technology features such as selectable terms for response surface models, neural net approximations with radial basis functions, and Dynamic Taguchi robust design.

Business: Blue Ridge Numerics Makes Inc. 500 for 2nd Consecutive Year

CFdesign Inc. Magazine recently published its 23rd annual list of America’s fastest growing private companies and revealed Blue Ridge Numerics has climbed to #375 from #419 on the magazine’s Inc. 500. The company reported total revenue growth of 490% over a five-year period. On an annualized basis, the company has grown 98% per year since 1999.

Inc. Magazine’s renowned annual rankings cross a wide range of sectors from consumer products, financial services, and retail to high-tech hotbeds such as software computers, and electronics. Microsoft, Oracle, The Sharper Image, E*Trade, and Domino’s Pizza are just a few of the companies that have graced the Inc. 500.

Business: BRN Among 500 Fastest Growing Tech Companies

News Blue Ridge Numerics is proud to announce the company is now ranked by Deloitte as the 418th fastest growing technology company in America. The Fast 500 Program includes both public and private companies and is based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 1999 – 2003.

On this year’s Fast 500 list, 59% of the companies are publicly traded while 39% (or 192) are software companies. Blue Ridge Numerics is the only CAE software company on the 2004 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list.

Cray XT3 Supercomputer Starts Shipping

Global supercomputer leader Cray Inc. today reported that it has begun shipping the Cray XT3(TM) supercomputer, an industry standard massively parallel processing (MPP) system that strongly advances the record-setting scalability and sustained application performance of the renowned Cray T3D(TM) and Cray T3E(TM) systems. U.S. list pricing for the Cray XT3 supercomputer begins at about $2 million.

The first shipment was to the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia). The Sandia system was developed and delivered under contract for the Advanced Simulation & Computing (ASC) program. Other initial customers include the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the DOE's Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
