TetrUSS is an unstructured-grid flow analysis and design computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software system. The goal is to provide a validated capability to non-CFD expert users for performing rapid aerodynamic analysis and design of complex configurations.

The system consists of a loosely coupled set of software for geometry setup, grid generation, flow solution, and analysis.

TetrUSS is used in aerodynamics and fluid dynamics analysis, and has been used on major projects including High Speed Research / High Speed Civil Transport, Hyper-X, Abrupt Wing Stall, Mars Scout, Joint Strike Fighter and more. What's more, the software has been used in the civilian aerospace industry, academy, automotive, biomedical and civil engineering fields.

TetrUSS is available free-of-charge to U.S. entities, citizens, and permanent residents. In addition, a free 1-week TetrUSS training course is available monthly at NASA Langley Research Center, and is strongly recommended.

Highlights of CFD-ACE+ R2003 include the following features:

• A new unified database manager for all material properties, chemistry data and chemistry reactions.
• A generalized adaptive time step control.
• The biochemistry module has now been fully ported into the pre-existing chemistry module.
• Improvements to the optional finite-element stress solver.
• The Free Surface (VOF) module now supports multi-to-one grid systems.

Uniquely in MixSim 2.0, the code allows for multiple arbitrarily positioned shafts and baffles with various top and bottom vessel shapes. MixSim's coupling to libraries of brand name and generic impeller types also leads to rapid mixing tank problem set up and solution for parametric mixing related analyses. Connection to the unparalleled breadth of physical and chemical models in the FLUENT 6 CFD solver means that users now have the most powerful flow modeling software available to them for mixing tank calculations.
