University of Texas at Arlington’s (UTA) racing partnership with Pointwise during the past three years has resulted in an influx of aggressive aerodynamic development for the UTA Formula SAE race cars. The grid generation software has been crucial in several developments that have resulted in significant improvements to the wing packages on the cars.

Cradle CFD Used to Enhance Realism of Racing Video Game

News Gran Turismo 6, a popular racing video game, uses aerodynamic analyses performed with Cradle SC/Tetra, unstructured grid CFD software, to enhance driving realism. Aerodynamic forces acting on the vehicle are included in the driving physics by using results generated from the aerodynamic CFD simulations as inputs to the video model.
