Application: Syracuse University Gets CFD Work Spinning

Application By Mike Butterfield, Aerospace Engineering Student, Class of 2013

At Syracuse University, a mixed group of both graduate and undergraduate students had the opportunity to participate in a project involving an innovative new wing design. Overseen by Prof. Thong Dang, the team sought to analyze this new design to determine its practicality and effectiveness.

CD-adapco, a global leader in numerical optimization technologies, presented an application case showcasing this newly released integration feature at the STAR Global Conference 2013 in Orlando (FL), on March 19th.

Announcements SoftInWay has organized a new training course on centrifugal compressor design and analysis to be held in Switzerland on June 17-21.

This five day training course will consist of two parts: Centrifugal Compressor Fundamentals and AxSTREAM Workshop (for any turbomachinery type such as axial / radial turbine, axial / centrifugal compressor, turbocharger, etc.).
