Pointwise and CT Core Technologies Partner for Native CAD Readers

News Pointwise announces that the ability to read computer aided design (CAD) files in the recently released Pointwise Version 17 software for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) mesh generation is based upon technology licensed from CT Core Technologies.

"CAD data interoperability is a serious and well-known impediment to the timely and successful application of CFD," said John Chawner, Pointwise’s president.

New Software: Elmer - An Open Source Multiphysics Solver

News Elmer is an open source multiphysics simulation software mainly developed by Finland's IT Center for Science (CSC).

Elmer development started in 1995 as a collaboration with Finnish Universities, research institutes and industry. After it's open source publication in 2005, the use and development of Elmer has become international.
