The ever-decreasing costs of computational resources have led to a virtual explosion in the numbers and sizes of simulation datasets. These simulations (like CFD) model the behavior of the vehicle or machine over its operating envelope and are a critical part of engineering analysis and design.

CD-adapco to Lead Battery Simulation Team

News CD-adapco, a pioneer of engineering simulation methods, announced today that it will lead a major industrial team to advance lithium ion battery simulation technology.

This team is one of three co-funded by the United States Department of Energy (DOE), Vehicle Technologies Office under its CAEBAT program, with the objective of helping the automotive and battery industries to design and develop a wide array of advanced electric vehicle batteries more quickly and at a lower cost.
