Announcements Flow Science, Inc. announces the official presenters for its 2010 FLOW-3D World Users Conference on September 23-24, 2010 at the Hôtel Omni Mont-Royal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The hydropower industry in Canada will be well-represented with presentations from companies such as Hydro-Quebec, SNC-Lavalin, Hatch and AECOM Tecsult. Other topics include offshore structures, the casting of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Il Cavallo and open-cell metallic foams.

New Software: Faster CFD as Caedium goes Parallel

News The latest release of Caedium (v2.2) from Symscape can now perform CFD simulations in parallel on a single computer with multiple cores or on a cluster running Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008 - either way it means a significant reduction in simulation turnaround time compared to previous versions of Caedium.

New Software: Symscape Adds Windows 64-bit, Native MPI for OpenFOAM 1.6.x

News The latest version of the Symscape Windows patch for OpenFOAM® 1.6.x now supports 64-bit compilation using the MinGW-w64 cross-compiler.

The new version also supports parallel computation using the native Windows MPI implementation provided by the free Microsoft HPC SDK and also available on Microsoft HPC Server 2008 for clusters.
