News The NAFEMS Multiphysics Working Group (MPWG) wishes to commission a new "How To" publication on fluid structure interaction and extends an invitation to tender.

The book should provide an outline of various approaches to solving FSI problems, while identifying benefits of doing various levels of FSI.

Announcements NAFEMS will host Coupling 1D and 3D CFD: The Challenges and Rewards of Co-Simulation on March 17, 2010.

Co-simulation of a 1D with a 3D model potentially offers the best of both worlds. It enables the sharing of boundary data between 1D and 3D models in a single or multi-domain system to facilitate the simulation the overall fluid system coupled with more detailed CFD simulation of 3D flows within a critical part of the network. This seminar aims to illustrate and examine these models.

News Flow Science, Inc. announces that a new release of the distributed-memory version of its computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, FLOW-3D/MP, is now available.

FLOW-3D/MP Version 4.0 offers substantial performance improvements, including significant decreases in problem setup and simulation times.
