Application: Avizo Wind Used to Study the Great Sphinx Erosion

Application The Great Sphinx is a monumental statue that is considered the first truly colossal sculpture in Egypt and a national symbol of both ancient and modern Egypt.

The statue would have disappeared long ago had it not been buried under sand for so long. The statue is eroding due to the effects of wind, humidity and the smog from Cairo.

ANSYS ANSYS will host ANSYS Meshing Platform for CFD Analysis on Wednesday, October 14 at 4pm EDT and again on Wednesday, November 11 at 9am EST.

The ANSYS meshing platform uses meshing technologies from ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS ICEM CFD, ANSYS CFX, GAMBIT, TGrid and CADOE, and takes advantage of the ANSYS Workbench 2.0 framework so users can create a mesh in a unified environment tailored to their experience.
