Business: SoftInWay Appoints EURO/CFD as French Distributor

News SoftInWay Inc., a world provider of turbomachinery design software and training, announces that EURO/CFD, a France-based company specializing in CFD and numerical simulations, has become its distributor to expand the company's presence in the French market of engineering software.

This agreement will result in EURO/CFD developing SoftInWay's sales network in the country and enabling French engineers to access the latest in turbomachinery design technology using AxSTREAM - the core product of SoftInWay.

News In order to cover new OpenFOAM features, new contents have been included in the OpenFOAM Advanced Course planned for 8-9 October 2009 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Some of those new contents are: Theory, implementation and use of General Grid Interface (GGC), features in turbomachinery simulations, and dynamic mesh features in OpenFOAM.

Education: Penn State Adds AxSTREAM Software to Turbomachinery Design Curriculum

News SoftInWay Inc. and the Pennsylvania State University have signed an agreement for the incorporation of the educational version of AxSTREAM software into the University's curriculum.

According to this software license agreement, students from the Penn State Engineering Department will be able to learn the basics of turbomachinery flow path design using AxSTREAM.
