Intelligent Light's Founder Receives AIAA Honor

News Steve M. Legensky, general manager and founder of Intelligent Light, a New Jersey-based software company, has been named an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

The honor is given annually to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the “arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.”

Business: Ceetron and Fraunhofer SCAI Sign Agreement

News Ceetron and the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI) today announce the signature of a software agreement between the organizations.

The contract gives Fraunhofer SCAI access to use all of Ceetrons software development tools for 3D visualization with new versions of CAE software from Fraunhofer SCAI.

Announcements On Wednesday, January 28 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST, Flow Science will hold a free General Moving Object (GMO) model webinar.

FLOW-3D is a powerful tool for simulating many different types of flow processes. In this live, online seminar, Flow Science will demonstrate their fluid/non-deforming solid interaction capabilities.

The presentation will last 30 to 40 minutes followed by a 15 minute Q & A session.

News Pointwise, Inc. announces the latest release of its Pointwise mesh generation software for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) featuring mesh quality evaluation and monitoring tools.

Pointwise is the next generation meshing software for CFD from Pointwise, Inc. and has been in production use for more than a year. The marquee feature in the software’s second major update provides a suite of tools for mesh quality interrogation and monitoring.

Announcements The 10th MpCCI User Forum will be held February 17 - 18, 2009 in Sankt Augustin, Germany.

Coupling of different simulation codes, each specialized for a specific physical regime, is becoming more and more important for numerical simulations, both in industry and in research. The reason is that in many real-world applications the interaction of different physical phenomena must be taken into consideration in order to achieve high-quality predictions.

The MpCCI User Forum 2009 will show the latest developments and applications in multi-disciplinary simulation coupling.
