Application: Optimization of an Axial Gas Compressor

Application Sigma Technology has a white paper presenting the results of optimizing a three-stage axial compressor. The optimization goal was to improve the compressor efficiency at two flight conditions by optimizing geometry of the 5 compressor rows (62 design parameters).

The work was completed with the FINE/Design3D design and optimization software.

News Zeus Numerix Pvt Ltd recently launched their basic CFD training software, ZNTutor-CFD 2.0.

It's predecessor released by Zeus Numerix (erstwhile known as IITZeus) had been largely popular among the Indian students of CFD. ZNTutor-CFD was made with the sole purpose of making the process of learning fluid dynamics, a more interactive and engaging exercise.

News Spatial Corp., a leading provider of 3D software components for technical applications, today announced availability of 3D Mesh, an object-based software component providing fully-configurable surface and volumetric meshing capabilities.

The component includes mesh generation and pre-processing for a wide-range of applications including mechanical design, structural analysis, heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics and electronic design automation (EDA).
