STAR-CCM+ V3 Released: Three is a Magic Number

CD-adapco CD-adapco announces the release of STAR-CCM+ v3.02, the engineering process oriented computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.

The newest version continues the demanding four month release schedule and introduces major enhancements over previous versions including: a dedicated facility for preparing, simulating and post-processing rotating or turbomachinery problems; a new automatic surface repair tool; and the introduction of a new DES turbulence model.

New Software: 2008 Winter Release of EnSight Available

News Computational Engineering International (CEI) announced today that the latest version of EnSight, the company’s extreme visualization software, is now available and is being called the EnSight 2008 Winter Release.

The Winter Release includes several new additions to the powerful visualization product; an option to add CAD file importers to access native CAD files without the use of the original CAD system, a new FLUENT direct interface, and the introduction of Chameleon Mode, a technique to modify the graphical user interface (GUI) to suit each user’s specific needs.

Announcements Following the hugely popular and well supported OpenFOAM International CFD Conference, ICON have had numerous requests to repeat the training courses that were offered before and after the conference.

An introductory OpenFOAM training course is now scheduled for Thursday 3rd April and Friday 4th April 2008, at Beaumont House, Windsor, UK.

ING Renault F1 Team Committed to CFD technology

CD-adapco As the ING Renault F1 Team officially launched its 2008 season by unveiling the brand new R28 racing car.

The Team also announced a dual commitment to Computational Fluid Dynamics technology, with the construction of an impressive CFD centre of excellence and by revealing that the new car will carry the logo of CD-adapco, long time partners and exclusive suppliers of CFD technology to the ING Renault F1 Team. The R28 is the first car in Formula 1 to carry the logo of a CFD vendor.

New Software: New ADINA Interface Developed for EnSight

News ADINA R&D, Inc., creator of software for structures, fluids and fluid flow with structural interactions (FSI), has recently developed and supports a direct interface to EnSight, extreme visualization software from Computational Engineering International, Inc. The interface will now also allow ADINA-Structures users to import results directly into EnSight for high-end visualizations.
