ANSYS the Largest Engineering Simulation Software Vendor in Europe

News ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced that it has been cited as Europe's leader in engineering simulation software sales in a report by 01consulting, which specializes in evaluating the industry on the continent.

Of nearly a dozen computer-aided engineering (CAE) software vendors tracked in Europe, ANSYS came out as the overall leader in software sales and as a leading supplier in every European geography and industry sector.

News Tecplot Inc., the developer of Tecplot data visualization and technical plotting solutions, announces the immediate availability of Tecplot 360 2008, its flagship product for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and numerical simulation visualization.

One of the more significant new features is Python scripting, which was created specifically for engineers who require additional analysis (FFTs, splines, statistical functions, etc.) or more scripting flexibility.

CD-adapco CD-adapco, long time exhibitors at the AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting, will be bidding farewell to Reno by unveiling STAR-CCM+ V2.10 which incorporates the latest in flow, thermal and stress simulation technology for the aerospace industry.

The 46th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit will be held between 7th and 10th of January 2008 at the Grand Sierra Resort Hotel, Reno, Nevada.

Flomerics Sells Electromagnetics Business, Will Focus on CFD

News Flomerics will sell it's electromagnetics business to Computer Simulation Technology GmbH (CST) for a cash consideration of £1.6 million.

Following the sale of the EM Business, Flomerics will have a greater focus on fluid flow simulation. The directors believe this will enable it to maintain a strong competitive position in the area of electronics cooling, where the Company is world leader, and to take better advantage of the EFD products acquired through Nika, which are applicable to wider applications of fluid flow simulation.
