Business: Dr. Daniel Schikore Promoted to VP of Engineering at CEI

News Dr. Daniel Schikore, a senior developer at Computational Engineering International (CEI), has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering. Dan joined CEI, Inc., a leading provider of CAE pre- and post-processing tools, in 2000 and worked on high performance rendering techniques for the display of large-scale data as well as being the team leader for Apex – CEI’s visualization framework.

Prior to joining CEI, Inc., Dan received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1997. Following graduation, Dan joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) where he participated in and led components of a research and development effort to advance LLNL’s ability to visualize the results of scientific simulations on high performance computers.

New Software: FLUENT for CATIA V5 Version 3.1 Released

ANSYS ANSYS, Inc. has released the latest version of FLUENT for CATIA V5 3.1 to customers. FLUENT for CATIA is a rapid flow modeling tool fully embedded into Dassault Systeme’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) that allows design and process engineers working within CATIA V5 to rapidly and accurately validate their designs much earlier in the product development cycle.

CD-adapco CD-adapco, leading global provider of full-spectrum engineering simulation solutions for fluid flow, heat transfer and stress announces that Jean-Claude Ercolanelli, former Product Manager for STAR-CCM+ and STAR-CAD Series, has been appointed CD-adapco Vice-President, Product Management, effective from Oct.1, 2007.

Jean-Claude Ercolanelli has performed a series roles of increasing responsibilities in Business Development and Product Management over the past 18 years in renowned CAE companies.
