Announcements Flow Science, Inc. announces its 2007 FLOW-3D World Users Conference on September 20-21, 2007 at the Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas, Texas.

FLOW-3D users from around the world will present their studies, analyses, and results obtained using FLOW-3D, including benchmarks, case studies, and research projects. The Flow Science team will present their ongoing development plans, demonstrate the new capabilities of Version 9.2 and be available to answer users’ questions about the software.

Daat Research Celebrates 15th Anniversary

News Daat Research Corp, Hanover, NH, is celebrating 15 years since its founding in 1992. What began as an R&D company providing CFD software development services for industry and the government has transformed into a leader in CFD thermal design software for electronics.

"When we began, most engineers were intimidated by CFD's complex mathematics," notes Daat's Marketing Manager, Peggy Chalmers. "As a result, they missed out on CFD's ability to slash development times and costs."

(KBK) to provide distribution of its AxSTREAM™ Suite of Multi-disciplinary Design and Optimization software to the Japanese turbo-machinery industry.

Business: Kent Misegades Retires from Computational Engineering International

News Kent Misegades, President of Computational Engineering International (CEI), today announced his retirement from the company he has led since 1998. Misegades was named President of CEI, a leading provider of CAE pre- and post-processing tools, in 1998. Prior to that, he was VP for Sales and Marketing at CEI, Managing Director for Fluid Dynamics International, GmbH, Manager of CFD Applications at Cray Research and a staff aerodynamicist with Dornier of Germany.

“Last year marked my 30th year as a practicing engineer, which is hard for me to believe. I have decided it is time for me to retire my keyboard, so to say, and pursue some other interests for the remainder of my professional life,” says Kent Misegades.

New Software: EnSight's New iChat Theater Conferencing Feature

Post Processing Computational Engineering International (CEI) has announced a new EnSight video conferencing feature which allows Mac users to share and present EnSight files in real time using Mac OS X Leopard’s iChat Theater. EnSight is an extreme visualization application widely used by the scientific and research communities to visualize, analyze, and communicate computational results for complex visualization problems.

EnSight’s new iChat Theater feature makes it easy for any user to host an online conference where all participants can view and discuss an EnSight session in real time. The feature is fully integrated with EnSight and works just like iChat video conferences, with no need for special settings, knowledge of networks, or system reconfiguration.
