ESI Group ESI UK is pleased to announce an Engineering Simulation Conference at IBM Warwick on June 26th 2007.

The conference is a unique event for the UK, comprising of parallel sessions of a variety of CAE disciplines including a CFD session.

This is a unique opportunity to gain knowledge upon the latest CFD tools, as well as features such as the chaining of simulations and ESI-Group’s single CAE environment, known as Virtual Try Out Space (VTOS).

Visualization: CEI and RENCI Partner for Technological Innovation

News Computational Engineering International (CEI) and the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) announced today a new partnership that makes CEI’s EnSight, an industry-leading scientific visualization software, available to RENCI’s staff and partners at its headquarters and engagement facilities throughout North Carolina.

CEI is an Apex, N.C.-based developer of software applications for the scientific and engineering community and offers products that cover all aspects of simulation, including meshing, plotting, process workflow, animation, and visualization.

Gridgen Mesh Appears on X-Plane Express Mail Stamp

News The United States Postal Service (USPS) recently issued an Express Mail stamp featuring NASA's X-15 aircraft. The stamp image also shows a CFD grid generated using Pointwise's Gridgen software.

The USPS, in conjunction with NASA, celebrated the first day of issue of two X-Plane stamps at an unveiling ceremony held at the Virginia Air and Space Center in Hampton, Virginia on 17 March 2006.

New Software: FLUENT for CATIA V5 Enhances Productivity Through Integration and Automation

ANSYS FLUENT ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, has announced the release of version 3.0 of FLUENT® for Dassault Systèmes’ CATIA V5 software. This release provides workflow enhancements and new features that further improve the integration of Fluent’s computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology in the CATIA V5 product lifecycle management (PLM) environment. FLUENT technologies are now part of the ANSYS CFD suite, from the company’s recent acquisition of Fluent Inc.

This new release was developed by Fluent as a member of Dassault Systèmes’ CAA V5 software community program. FLUENT for CATIA V5 delivers the ANSYS vision of Simulation Driven Product Development to customers working within the V5 PLM environment pioneered by Dassault Systèmes.
